The Long Journey

The news channel on my Wii has been inactive since I got it, although today the blue led light notified me of a new message - it was Nintendo saying the channel is now active.

It looks like the message was to everyone so all you got to do is update and you will be able to access breaking news and interact with the globe (also shown in the weather channel) to zoom in on where the news is happening.

First impressions are that I am very impressed. There is a lot of ways to get news these days so it is important that the method is easy and enjoyable - the Wii News Channel is just that. Where it can be a bit dry reading through BBC News or watching on TV, the Wii News Channel makes it a pleasure.

Whether I will use it to read the news every day, only time will tell…
