Yerba Mate is a quite extraordinary tea and it reallys gives you a pick me up when you need it. It also is reported to have weight loss properties.
I definitely recommend checking out Tea Pigs – they have a great range of teas and if you can look past the quirky-yet-generic name and yuppy, more money than sense image they really offer a good range of tea, with good descriptions and great service.
The prices are generally quite expensive but you do get what you pay for.

I do not like the taste of yerba mate. It was too bitter and earthy tasting
for me. The kids wouldn’t even try a tiny taste. Probably because I did not like
it, so they automatically decided that they would not either. I did find blended
yerba mate at http://www.tealaden.com This place has a yummy lemon lime mate that everybody loved, as well as a strawberry mate that even my five year old would drink.
Ok, I’m not a tea person, but the name of the site caught me. Teapigs? I so love that. Now, even though I’m not a tea drinker, I’m going to go visit it to find out why they’re called that.
