The Countdown to Asia Begins

Time has flown so fast since I returned from Thailand. It has already been 9 weeks since I arrived back in Blackpool but at the same time it feels like an age ago that I was in the heat of Bangkok.

My next journey is already planned and it is fast approaching – in about 7 weeks I will be destination South East Asia for the second time this year. I am busy getting work organised, planning my journey and buying new essential travelling equipment.

This week I am expecting delivery of a Waterproof Lifeventure Body Wallet, to discreetly carry money and passport, as well as a Lifeventure Quick Drying Compact Towel – both should come in handy when travelling around more remote places.

Also on my to buy list I need a new digital camera and a good backpack, but at the moment finding a decent pair of hiking trainers is causing me a headache… Why? Because I can’t find any with style! These offerings by Merrell are looking the best bet at the moment.

While you might think this is vanity, the issues is that space is a valuable commodity in my backpack and finding a pair of hiking trainers that would double as casual wear would help me out massively. Alternatively a good sturdy pair of normal trainers might do the job. (Any advice on this matter would be much appreciated!).

Apart from that the next 7 weeks for me involves organising, planning, saving and getting prepared for four months in Asia… bring it on!
